2021-2025 Progress Report to Congress

The National Fish Habitat Board submitted a Five-Year Status Report for the National Fish Habitat Partnership to Congress in October. The Report was prepared for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and House Committee on Natural Resources. This report was fulfilled as a requirement of the Board through The America's Conservation Enhancement Reauthorization Act of 2024 (PL  118-198).   The Report included (below) contains the following chapters:

THROUGH A FISH’S EYE: THE STATUS OF FISH HABITATS IN THE UNITED STATES 2015

This report summarizes the results of an unprecedented nationwide assessment of human effects on fish habitat in the rivers and estuaries of the United States. The assessment assigns a risk of current habitat degradation scores for watersheds and estuaries across the nation and within 14 sub-regions. The results also identify some of the major sources of habitat degradation.
