The 2024 Fish Art Contest, sponsored by Wildlife Forever has announced their contest winners. The National Fish Habitat Partnership has sponsored an essay contest for the past several years and has awarded the top contestants that best answered the question “Why do you think it is important to protect our lakes, rivers, estuaries, and coastlines?” or shared the importance of conservation in their creative writing.

The following winners were announced for 2024:

Grades K-3: 1st place (Liam Cho), 2nd place (Sundara Pandiyan), 3rd place (Stephanie Jin)
Grades 4-6: 1st place (Avah Longo), 2nd place (Eva Hughes), 3rd place (Harry Roy)
Grades 7-9: 1st place (Ellisyn Rogers), 2nd place (Quinn Bortle), 3rd place (Delainey Burke)
Grades 10 – 12: 1st place (Heidi Linn), 2nd place (Khalia Reid), 3rd place (Karley Salcedo – Rios)
